Creating Custom Forms with H2O for SigmaPro

H2O is a DotNetNuke module that enables you to create powerful web solutions without the need of programming skills. Easily build forms using the new Forms Designer with drag and drop control layout and Ajax! Add a professional look and feel to your web site easily.  And now....H2O includes function to integrate your forms directly into SigmaPro.  For full details on H2O, go to

To build an H2O form that submits the information to SigmaPro, use the SIGMAPRO H2O Script Function.  Click the image to the right for a screen shot of this and view the H2O Scripting article on www.DNNForms.com for more information about this.

The function takes the following parameters:

  • Control Name For Title: The is the control on your form that should be used for the Title value of the new task in SigmaPro.
  • Control For Requester:  This is the control on your form that will contain the requesters user name.  This is optional, if you don't provide it the value will be taken from the Template Task in your SigmaPro project.
  • SigmaPro Web Service URL:  You can get this from the SigmaPro Web Service URL Module
  • SigmaPro Module ID:  This is the Module ID of the instance of the core SigmaPro Module you want to use for it's settings.  The Module ID is visible in the Project Details screen and in the Edit SigmaPro module menu option.
  • Portal ID:  This is the Portal ID that your SigmaPro project was created on.  The Module ID is visible in the Project Details screen and in the Edit SigmaPro module menu option.
  • Template Ticket ID: This is the Ticket ID of the Template Ticket you created for your project.  Most information for a new ticket is not collected from SigmaLive, so it must have a this ID of the Template Ticket to obtain values from.
  • Security Key:  This is the Security Key you set in the SigmaPro Web Service module.  It's like a password, it can be anything you want and should be very complex.
  • SigmaPro Web Service Module ID:  This is the Module ID of the SigmaPro Web Service Module, you can get it from the settings of the module
Once you have complete your new H2O Form and added the SigmaPro H2O Script to a control, you ready to place the form on a page in your web site.   More information on this is available on www.DNNForms.com and you can request help with your forms from the Support page on www.OnyakTech.com.
